Palm Desert | Palm Springs Restaurants !!

We have had several questions on restaurant recommendations, so I thought I'd go ahead and start a list. Feel free to add your comments or recommendations. I will add to this list as we try new places and attempt to play food critic.

With that, our newest addition to the list is Sullivan's Steakhouse in Palm Desert. Our party of four all enjoyed our dinners very much. Steaks were cooked perfectly, crab cakes and deserts were fantastic. Very popular place. We WILL be going back.

I also want to mention that the restaurants here at Palm Valley Country Club are worth trying. Breakfast and Lunch at Bogie's Diner has been good. We have not had a dinner in the dining room yet, but I've heard the Friday night pasta night is great.

- We enjoy breakfast at 'Desert Willow' golf course on Country Club Drive. This is Palm Desert's municipal course. Beautiful Club House. Across from the Marriott Desert Springs Resort http://www.desertwillow.com/

Italian:
- Papa Dan's - Casual, very good Italian food. At intersection of Country Club and Monterey. Pizza is great. Very popular with the locals.

- Upscale Italian - We like Sirocco in the Esmeralda Hotel in Indian Wells http://www.renaissanceesmeralda.com/restaurants.php

- La Spiga - Smallish restaurant. Husband/wife own it. Great food. 340-9318

Mexican:
- Las Casuelas Nuevas - Mexican food on Hwy 111. Also locations in Palm Springs and La Quinta. http://www.lascasuelasnuevas.com/

Steaks:

- Tommy Bahama Cafe - On El Paseo in the 'Gardens' shopping plaza
- Cheesecake Factory, P.F. Changs and several others in 'The River' shopping area on Hwy 111
- Roy's is very good ($$$$) on Hwy 111
- Bristol Farms - Upscale grocery with food - Corner of Monterey & Country Club. Worth a look if you haven't been in one. Same location as Papa Dans above.
- Bing Crosby's. New last year fun atmosphere.. 674-5764
